I flashed back on graduate school today when I had just started teaching; I had the same sense of teaching being new and fresh and exciting and being in the company of highly motivated colleagues. In the rush of getting things done, I’ve been forgetting to take time to think and talk about what I am doing pedagogically and why. Today stopped me in my tracks, which was a plus since I was going down the wrong path. I also wrongly envisioned this week as a review of available tools. Instead, we talked about big ideas and essential questions to set the stage for the nitty-gritty of technology. The task of going over the available tools is suddenly far more exciting and less daunting. Thank you all!!!
